STALE TRANSACTIONS

The Mothership has had all sorts of issues the past few weeks, more so than usual. What I have heard too is that this is of course making people feel hesitant about purchasing alot of higher priced items, as the chance of not receiving those items is too high right now, and no one can afford to lose money for however long a period of time until it is rectified.

A lot of this hesitancy comes from not knowing the Designer well enough to know what their time schedule is online, and whether they are able to fix such an issue expediently...a suggestion to all is put up a sign in your stores letting customers know that if your like me and log in all day every day lol, that they can feel safe in knowing that if there is an issue it will be dealt with within a 24 hour time frame, possibly a few more hours depending on time zones etc.

It occurred to me today, that its just another way of letting your customers feel a bit more secure in their purchasing right now :o) .

Have a great day.

Sasy - part of it is also that LL seems to be turning off profiles at peak SL times (roughly noon-3pm SLT) which means we can't contact the designers anyway - can't IM and can't send notecards... moreover with all the bad transactions I'm sure their IMs are getting capped and notecards sometimes don't arrive as well.

Also I feel bad contacting the designers, knowing that they must be dealing with so many customers and it takes up a lot of time & energy to go through transaction logs and re-deliver items. If it's frustrating for the customers, I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for the designers. I heard that some customers even blamed the designers for non-delivery and accused the designers of taking their money for nothing :(

So in the end, if it's not urgent I'd rather wait for awhile, the items will still be there for me to purchase later :)

Correct about the profiles thing , and lol at the blaming part that unfortunately is true, I deal with that all day every day.

I get the same notices from LL saying do not buy etc and yet get IMs saying "What is wrong with your store " yours as in the one I manage :o).

But the thing is not every transaction does go stale, it was more of a let your customers know you are here, alot of them think designers swan in once a month to cash out and thats it.

anyway its sweet you dont want to bother them, but majority of designers get upset finding out something has happened and they haven't been disturbed, but thats a whole other post.
