Secret Hair Fair Business :P and Charity Info

Hair Fair is just around the corner starting on the 22nd of August and ending on the 7th of September. I have been running around the grid setting up Charity Kiosks made by Damien Fate already, and they are not only brilliant looking but collect much needed money for Locks of Love, so if you see one drop in some spare change and feel all fluffy inside.

Also to remind you if you are wanting up to date info on Hair Fair there is a Subscrib-o-Matic machine at Hairspray sim just at the landing point HERE. So click on it for info and when the fair is just about to open we will send out the needed LM's to all four sims donated by Rezzable.

I also wanted to let you in on a little secret, this year unlike any other we have requested that ALL Hair Fair Participants put their Hair Fair release DEMO's on Onrez 24 hours prior to the Hair Fair start , this will mean that you will be able to grab them all up with ease from your own home or even from work and be able to prepare yourself for the fair.

This has as I said never been done before, and from my experience and everyones with not just Hair Fair but all big events like this one , the major issues are being prepared , so this way you will know what sim and what stores you want to hit first and having already tried on the Demo's all you will need to do is SHOP SHOP SHOP , doesn't that just sound too yummy.

So be prepared now and set up an account with Onrez ASAP HERE , I cannot wait for this and especially the day before when everyone will be oooing and aaaaing over styles they get a sneak peak of.

Two weeks to go until the Hair Fair. It is time to take a moment to talk about the wonderful charity, Locks of Love. This charity accepts donations of money and hair to help build wigs for children who have hair loss due to medical conditions or medications which can include chemotherapy, burn injuries, genetic disease, and the like. These wigs are provided for children under the age of 18 in the United States and Canada. Each hairpiece can cost between $3500 to $6000 USD so every donation is appreciated.

Hair Fair Events Planning

Ok so first off I am going to point out that I will probably copy paste this again on monday or other days just to be sure everyone see's it :P, but as its for Charity you won't mind I'm sure. Also as the Official Hair Fair blog doesn't hit all feeds I am posting here as I am on the committee, but ANYONE who wants to spread the word can contact me in world or just link to the blog HERE.

Last year we did a few events that we are repeating this year, one of those is of course Bandana Day and the others will change but the concept of prizes for them will be the same. Last year all that was arranged only two weeks prior and many weren't given enough time to be involved, so this year we are making sure you all know well in advance.

The Bandana Day Kits have been sent to the participants of Hair Fair , but also many other designers but by no means ALL, so if you are interested in making a Bandana for Hair Fair contact me in world for one.

You do NOT have to be a Hair Creator to be involved. You also do NOT have to own a store, this is the kind of thing that is important to so many people in world, and my experience last year means I know that many would love to do something to help but feel that because they aren't a store etc they can't be, THAT IS NOT THE CASE!.

ALL the money from the sales of the Bandana's will go to Locks of Love the charity of choice for Hair Fair this year and past years. So that being said anyone who wants to create a bandana please contact me :) . I have already received wonderful ones not only retextured with beautiful prints, but also some with amazing prim work added and themed lol sooooooooooooooo cute, cant wait for you all to see them.

Just be aware these have to come back to me full perms , and wont be able to be sold by anyone but the Hair Fair , you must also guarantee 100% that the textures are yours to use and prim work as well.

Ok now on to the second part , PRIZES, there are events as I said that will be run during Hair Fair, and for those we need prizes , I have already collected promises from many designers for this, the promise is in the form of a notecard as we do not want anyone changing perms to their items to do this.

Now we of course will be approaching Hair Fair Participants for Prizes for different events , but for some of them, again, its a case of other people wanting to be involved as they were last year.
There was a bit of confusion with my Prizes Requests note card that went out to Designers , based on them not making hair :) I knew that, thats why it was sent, but I am sorry that it caused confusion. The Prizes requests are for designers and creators who would like to be involved to fill in the notecard I have that states what they will give the winners.

This can be anything from a particular item or items , or gift cards or an amount to use in their stores. I do not want to collect the items from Designers as again this would mean possibly having to change perms to make them passable.

Another Reason to LOVE Loco Pocos

Something Old Something New

What an incredible Month it has been, so many events and Grand Openings, New Lines and Incredible New Stores. Today though its something Old, Something New Nothing Borrowed and Something Blue.

The Something Old is the incredible Designers featured today. Callie Cline, Rita Groshomme, Gala Phoenix and Nebulosus Severine with the exception of JB Gazov, but then he is over a year old so by Phils Place standards he can be oldish too :o).

With the Black Swan Sim having an incredible opening this week and many incredible Designers being invited to create items incorporating the theme, it's been a wonderful week for really dressing up and no better way to celebrate New Clothes , than with New Skins and New Hair - actually technically most of the styles of hair are older but New to me so that counts :P.

So with the Grand Opening of the New Curio Sim- a fantastic build housing the talent of Rita Groshomme and Gala Phoenix - merging those beauties with the stunning Swan Song set by Callie Cline.

This wonderful set comes with so many options of wear, that having so many ravishing skins and new locks just made it even more fun to show.

The set has wonderful feather work on the three different length skirts , its like being encased on a Black Swans wings, a stunning visual especially in the gown length version.

The boostier style top is a lovely velvet texture, with an option of a belted waist look with double straps and buckles just under the empire line of the dress.

The extras to this set also are just wonderful , with the Incredible Full Lashes you see in the second pic tinted a sea green to co-ordinate with the beautiful green/blue running through the feathers on the sleeves, topped with the incredible pearls.

Also a wonderful pearl bangle and the stunningly chunky Water Ring - this one wont help you float in water though. The other pieces are from the resplendent Swans Tears set by Nebulosus Severine, absolutely stunning is this set and the matching with Callie Clines Swan Song is just a partnership made in wonderland.

Now looking at the info in Nebulosus's profile it appears there is no store at the moment - cries - so you MUST MUST get your hands on this set while at Black Swan, because it could possibly be not for sale afterwards - don't quote me on that I am only going by profile.

The set compliments not only this set but just so many other things as well, there are two necklaces and two earrings options as well as prim eyes in the same blue- I didn't wear those as I know I would forget to change back. The jewelry is just wonderful and the soft shimmery glow to the vials holding the precious Swans Tears are just stunning.
As well as the Feather skirts you also get the sculpted mini which is very cute, and with or without the incredible boa like sides and train you will have lots of fun and compliments on this set.

Now I was lucky enough to get into Curio late Friday night, so Kit and I had it all to ourselves for a while, we had a blast in that luxurious Mansion trying on hair and skins for hours.

As soon as I got to the hair section I saw a style that I knew was so Kit and well since I have been back it seems to be the hair everyone is going to love and rightly so.

The stunning Gertrude style is the style at the very top of the post and isn't it just adorable. Kit was wearing a cat back pack at the time and she totally looked like a porceline doll come to life, with the I am wearing the beautiful Gertrude hairRusset Makeup in the Classic Tone from Gala.

The tones are so wonderful and sooooo many to choose from. I adore the make up on all of them , Russet is a favourite for its beautiful rich glossy browns.
The Next hair is Gala 2 I just love the length and those thick luscious bangs , with the incredible Scene Make up in the Ebon tone , I couldn't resist the combination, the lips the eyes and that incredible tone , if you are looking for a darker skin this is a MUST GRAB DEMO tone for you.

Gala is the next style, this has been around for a long time this style and it was a huge hit last year, time to resurect it says me lol, its so delish and cutsie, again a total Doll come to life style , and the skin OMGosh , I couldn't resist the heavenly Basic Pack 1 in Luster tone when I saw this Emerald skin , its just beautiful and goes so well with my eyes, and the red in those lips is just yum, all the skins in the new range are MOD , so you can slightly alter the lips in them , just make a copy and play with the lip colour sliders , you get more BANG for your Buck that way.

Next is Spikey ,and it certainly is , so cute and well spikey lol, with the absolutely lustrous Nocturnal Make Up I was in blue heaven, Gala has an incredible talent at shimmery make ups for the eyes , that blue is just gorgeous, definitely another Must Have , well all of them are actually if you want to be particular about it lol.

Sleek Bob the next style is a short style variation of the longer Snood hair I have worn many times in the past , the 1920's look just shines with the pearls and the glamorous gown of the Swan Song set. Wonderful Juxt make up with again a delightful shimmer effect making that smokey look we all love just a little bit more luxurious.

Lastly for the hair we have the Creepy Bun, just the name makes it a must, those thick falls of hair at the front then pulled back into a tendril spilling interwoven bun give it so much class with out being conservative. The Rosette Make up just finishes off the look in the Hazel tone another lovely darker tone.

All the shoes are from the talented creator of J's the Belted Goth boots I still have on as I love them so much , the Gladiator Sandals and the Ribbon Goth Bow boots again are a delight , with the options of so many different looks in each pair of boots they are so yummy to own. Tassel Wedge Sandals are hard to ever not wear, I know some girls who wont take them off ever ♥ and the lovely Backband heels are so cute in their strappy pointed style. ALl of J's shoes have DEMOS so make sure you grab them all and try them on and see how wonderful they are.

Newness and an Announcement about LAP

New New and More NEW and Newish and just NEWWW.

Firstly DP Serendipity recently released these YUMMY B-Doll dresses, I like both variations so much , and if you get both packs lol you can play with where you want the sleeves to go :).

The colours are just warm but with that summery setting, and the layered babydoll part is just fab on both styles , my fav is the first though because its so much like a babydoll negligee it feels very sensual and romantic.

The sleeves are gorgeous too , but both dresses still look fab without them. so like i said you can play with wearing them or not, either way you will love it.

The hair is a latest release from Novocaine called Rico, I have been wearing it on and off for days now , its just wonderful, the thinnest prim work on getting the flick just right that it molds into the straight style so well, its perfect for any kind of look as its both pretty and edgy all at once.

The skin brings me to the next pic as well, it is the Group Gift from Gala, and with the opening of their brand new store with Curio the group gifts are just YUMMY.

The store doesnt officially open until Sunday but for group members you can get in on Saturday YAYYYY!.

The skin is the Nightshade by Gala and the make up is rich and plummy, you know that purple I do love lol, and as a Group Gift this is the perfect oppurtunity for you to test out the skins in advance.

The adorable Hipster Hair is from Curio the other fabulous Group Gift , with headband I tinted black and the colour and the cute short curled style is just a delight.

The set I am wearing with is from Bare Rose and its called Midnight Babysitter and OMGosh how cute is it lol.
The clawed tops are just divine the texture is beautiful and the belt and bag are too much fun, the whole ensemble just has you in stitches literally as the tops have this wonderful stitched detailing bringing the black and the colours together.

Lastly the wonderful *blushes* Sasy Dress by SySy Designs. Totally honored to have such a lovely dress named after me, the colours I couldnt have chosen better myself, I love Green and I adore Brown so to have them as those just made me so excited.

The banded waist and the tiered skirt is just beautiful and the halter style top with that plunging neckline not only shows the vava vooooooooom of Gala skins lol but also allows for such pretty adornments like the Mighty Heart necklace from Persona , as well as the matching bangles and bracelets.

The hair is Petra another New style from Novocaine and its also so gorgeous with the wavey style and beautiful bangs.

Black Swan by Dela and Fleur

Yesterday there was an incredible Fashion Show at Black Swan, with items inspired by the build. So many incredible items to choose from and the show was a blast with screaming audience with much praise from designers about other designers which was just a joy to be present at.

Two Designers featured at the Event were Dela and Fleur - technically with Fleur its 3 - The Black Swan set by Dela Designer Kuranosuke Kamachi is just gorgeous and a set it really really is.

Not only do you get the wonderful dress with two skirt options , but the fantastic hat and BALLET SLIPPERS come with it also, yes I had to cap those because I see sooooo many enquiries for authentic looking ballet slippers all the time in various groups.

Lets go back to the top though , the hat is just charming with beautiful feathers and a divine rose, its so 1920's I just love it , the whole set reminds me of that era actually , so thats why I am wearing ETD's Flapper Hair - if its retired I apologise I really am not sure as this was old texture for sure.

Moving down you have the incredible Kaya Onyx necklace from Zaara Indian Couture because it just brought the whole look together so well with that swan like neck needing some love.

Then down to the fabulous dress, in the leaping pic I actually copied the fuller tutu like skirt and added it to pelvis to get a fuller effect for this pose, its not needed for normal prancing about lol. I love the spotted feathers in both skirts the concept of that is just fabulous.

Now Partners pay attention , Swans mate for life, so in that frame just think about contacting one of the Black Swan creators and gifting a set to your love, the way I see it its like a nice little hint that you plan on popping a question - yes I'm that mushy.

The bodice detailing on this dress is just wonderful and and with all layers you have options with adding a nice shrug for those cooler nights. Now sliding down the sheer pantyhose -yes they are all the way up so they are hose - and down too the awesome BALLET SLIPPERS - just in case it didn't get your attention already - they are just adorable sculpted slippers with the perfect wrap around ribbons that tie at the back.

Kura does have plans on selling these seperate as well so look out for that option too. Now on to the Skins. The Boutique Lily Shoujo Black Swan range is from Fleur and these are just gorgeous, the skin tone is a perfect porceline shade , so delicate and feminine, the eyes are smokey and those lips YUMMMMY! The three shades of lipstick are just wonderful , if pale skin is your thing these are a MUST HAVE , and if its not well they are still a Must Have, because when dressing up for an event, sometimes a change of tone can have such an incredible impact on your look.

Official Hair Fair Photo Contest

Do you love hair? Show it in the Official Hair Fair 2008 Photo Contest on flickr! We're looking for pictures that show the range and fun of hair across the grid. We'll be picking 2 first prize winners, three second prize winners, and 5 third place winners to display at the Hair Fair throughout the whole event.

We at Hair Fair want to show the love and appreciation for the talented people that make us beautiful hair (both past and present), and in doing so we have created the Hair Fair Photo Contest. This contest is for you to show, in an homage style, a photo or photos that show your favorite hair styles and the way you love to wear them, what makes them your favorites and what it is about the designer and their work that generates that affection.

The Rules (there had to be rules, right?)
1. Be creative, but remember- we're looking for pictures that focus on the HAIR.
2. Feel free to enhance your shot in your photo editing program of choice, but don't add text or borders.
3. Keep your photos at 512 pixels by 512 pixels square.
4. Photos may only be entered once, and only the person entering the photo is eligible to win. The same photo may not be entered by more than one person.
5. Entrants are limited to 10 entries to the pool total.
6. In the description of each photo you enter, please include:
Your Second Life avatar name:
Model:
Photographer:
Hair Style Name and Store:
A description of why you love this hair/designer.
7. All photos must be entered by Midnight SLT on August 15th.
8. Winners will be announced at the Hair Fair.

You do not have to show hair that is made only be designers in hair fair this year. It could be past designers that have left Second Life, or designers just starting out, or even hair you or a friend made. Some examples of what we're looking for-

SOME Shoe Fair Yummies

One of the funny things about fairs etc for me , is that generally with work I have access to the locations, to help set up for work.

The funny part is that nearly every single time I completely forget I do have such access and never really think to take advantage of it, so just like clothing fair it was only really the last minute I went OOOOooooooo runs around lol.

So here are some goodies I was able to grab and also were given to show you all that are available at the fabulous Shoe Fair that opened earlier today.

First off Enkythings Ekota Heels , beautiful rich textures in 24 stunning colours, the style is a classic cross strapped court shoe, Perfect for suits and business attire and beautiful with the gorgeous summer frocks around at the moment. I especially like this style with pants as you can see a hint of the beauty and then just want to see more, my favourite feature is that adorable V just at the start of the toe cleavage - a customer gave me that expression once and I kept it lol.

So many more beautiful shoes in Enkythings booth at the fair so make sure you grab all the demos and see for yourself.
Next are the Divine Virtue Heels from Maitreya if you love these you will have to go to the fair to get them , as they will not be available at the store EVER . They are also the Maitreya ASPCA 100% donations shoes , that means like all vendors at the shoe fair that either 100% of one style or a percentage of all styles will go to the ASPCA a wonderful cause, so make sure you get these and know your money is going to a worthy cause.

The texture on these are just stunning and the style is gorgeous , there are two versions in the pack one is a resizable one if you need that for your shoes.

The HUB has released for the fair the beautiful Athena Shoes, wonderful cut out wedge heels which is their signature style, a beautiful almost metalic texture in a delightful array of colours.

They also have a wider ankle version which is handy, and these will also look adorable with beachwear and summer frocks, but with those metalic looks can easily move into nighttime frivolity.






Lastly and this is thanks to Alexa Lioncourt for wearing the cloven hoof version for two days and intriguing me with them. Proof I was oblivious as the booth for these at Lazy Places was right near works booth lol.

Also a fantastic build there are so many that have put a unique touch to their spaces with their spare prims. The Ungulate boots I chose are the Equine ones as in horsey hoofs, and they are so cute , not only is the design of them wonderful but they also leave prim hoof prints as I walk.

Not the particle kind as those will move with your view , but prim ones will lead a trail after you, so cute and so much fun , you can turn that function on and off though , and be aware that they wont work in no build areas so don't panic is you don't see them, they also are scripted to change size on click so thats also a great feature.

SUPERCALLAFREAKINAWESOME and a Movie- the aussies will know Ive been dieing to use that title for a month lol

Some of you may already know that I am on the Hair Fair Committee some may not lol, two of my Committee members are Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe, today like any other poor Washu was ten seconds in world before I pounced - literally, I have the IM archives to prove it - she explained that she was overwhelmed today as they were preparing for the 9th of July opening of their NEW Sim called Loco Pocos.

Being ever so nosey , I wanted to know what this NEW sim was, and was invited over to have a look. I already knew that both are incredibly talented together and separately in whatever endeavors they take on, but NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING prepared me for this.

I have many friends in world that are furries and cubbies, thats not a secret, and one thing I know for certain is how difficult it can be to take on an avatar so rigid in design and make it your own so to speak. Many of them aren't mod , and even a few aren't copy, which makes editing them so difficult. Then there is the price. Everyone who creates in Phils Place deserves to charge what they see fit for their own work , this is not about that, but many of my friends have bought so many avatars at 1K + and then not been too happy with the outcome, or just over it in a few weeks lol.

Which I totally get , I mean can you imagine wearing one complete head to toe outfit day in and day out. Anyway I am rambling , thing is that Damien was given a job to make an avatar for a project - secret squirrel business it is too so shhhhh - and while doing so, discovered exactly what was involved in the process and it inspired him to go forward from there.

Now Loco Pocos is not just an avatar store oh no , and its not really a furry furry store either , as the avatars are actually Tiny's. There is a Cat a Rabbit , a Mouse a Pig and a Bear - I hope I left no one out - and each one has a female or male version. But it doesn't stop there , oh no. When you purchase an avatar you have a hud attachment allowing for different colours, in fur, eyes, whiskers - if you have them - nose. It also has a Gestures hud that you will see in the film that does so many wonderful and fun things.

Then when you purchase your accessories the hud updates to include those and all the colour changes you have for each item. The items are also full mod and copy , so you can go further than even Damien and Washu have done for you. The base avatar is 350L and then each accessory is 100L , so you can go as high as you want with additions, that is totally up to you.

But as I said Loco Pocos is so much more than that , and my experience so far on two tours and revisiting again already twice is just awe, pure and simple yes I cried, not huge sobby tears , just tears of absolute amazement and joy that we have been given such a gift. I was so moved by it all and I am so hoping you will be too.

The island is based on a story, a story that involved the splendid tree of which Loco Pocos is built on and around and under. It Involves Journals by past explorers and treasure hunters, and you get to recreate those travels yourself and find unbelievable secrets I haven't shown. As well as all the beauty and fun that is puzzles and games , you will find treasure that will not EVER be available to buy , additions to your avatar that you can wear as trophies for making it through the challenges that face you.

Believe me they are challenges, but oh so much fun, I could spend all day at Loco Pocos and I probably will on the 9th of July or as long as I can anyway. For that ONE DAY ONLY , from noon SL time , you will be able to get yourself an avatar that will also NEVER AGAIN be available.
This is going to be an event NOT TO MISS, make sure you tell everyone you know that has a weakness for the magical , because this is something you will always remember.

LOCO POCOS ISLAND - Damien Fate has gone out on limb, literally, to bring to the Second Life grid an interactive destination unlike any other.

On July 9, 2008, Second Life (tm) residents will be able to experience, first hand, the magic that is Loco Pocos Island. The island is built with a story in mind, and visitors are invited to search the island for pages from the unfortunate Captain B. Bonnik's journal. Each journal entry will piece together the history of Loco Pocos Island and will lead the visitor to secret locations where special tasks and rewards await. The centerpiece of the island is the mythical tree, Rokeden. With it's rich texturing, imaginative design and Fate's characteristic attention to detail, visitors to the sim will instantly become immersed in, and a part of, the fantasy that is the story of Loco Pocos Island.

Fate felt inspired to create Loco Pocos Island hoping to bring a unique experience to Second Life residents. "My dream was to create something new in SL, not with just a product, but a whole island experience. Something that is intuitive, bringing things to a whole new level and above all, bring everyone in SL together by removing all language barriers possible." Fate continued. "Sims can be so much more than just a store, avatars can be so much more than just prims."

Loco Pocos, which, loosely translated, means "crazy tinies", are the inhabitants of this magical island. Each sculpted avatar, equipped with a user-friendly HUD, is meticulously detailed and textured. The Loco Pocos are infinitely customizable via the HUD for maximum personalization. Each avatar is able to emote and gesture via the HUD and wearing any of the multiple Loco Pocos accessories automatically updates the HUD with the appropriate customization options for that item.

The HUD itself is designed to offer maximum ease-of-use. The graphic icons are easily recognizable and a users manual, translated into seven languages, has been provided for those who prefer text based instruction. Overall, though, each avatar and it's HUD was designed so that the end-user could visit the Island Store, purchase an avatar and begin exploring all of the island's adventures within minutes.

Prior to beginning the Loco Pocos project, Fate worked with the Electric Sheep Company, playing a major role in the development of such notable projects as Ben and Jerry's island, IBM Sentinel 2.0, and CSI:NY (tv shows and inworld game/machinima), independently developed a popular line of Final Fantasy avatars, and the mirada.smartHUD, an emotion HUD which, to date, has sold over 5,000 units.

Fate was joined in this endeavor by his partner and wife, Washu Zebrastripe. Zebrastripe is a beta lifetime member of Second Life and is the original creator of prim hair. Fate and Zebrastripe are also co-owners of the Hairspray Sim.

To kick off the Grand Opening of Loco Pocos Island, a massive scavenger hunt event will begin at Noon SLT on July 9, 2008. Visitors to the sim on this date will have the opportunity to win a unique avatar which will only be available during events at Loco Pocos Island.

What have YOU Done ? and a Movie

Preparing for this post made me tear up - yes I am that bad. Yesterday Callie Cline sent me a LM to her Display at SL5B the Celebrations happening in Phils Place for the 5th Birthday Celebrations of our wonderful world.

You see thats the thing, it is Yours/Ours, they aren't making it up when they say "Your World Your Imagination". The funny thing, or perhaps the sad thing, is that this whole time I have been here , I never gave that saying enough credit. I like many I am sure , gave it the usual pfft of corny sales pitch and that was about it.

Don't get me wrong, I am so not jaded about Phils Place, I celebrate I hope its wonder every single day in my own way. But in as I said , preparing for this post I saw that I myself am lacking considerably in the My World stakes.

Callie Cline though doesn't, and you can see that ten fold in her Dream Display, its wonderful. It embraces everything she has ever done or set out to do in Phils Place. She has kept a running record of every press clipping every single release she has done , all her memories are there amongst what was in the beginning a dream and has become a reality for her and those she loves.

I envy that, and until today and this display I didn't know that I did. I have done things in Phils Place I am proud of , some people actually know of most of them , some only know a few, and thats fine. Some things I can't share that I have had a hand in because ultimately they belong to the people that made them happen, and there are others that have openly expressed that I have, and I am always honored when that happens.

But looking at the Dreams display at Callie Clines exhibit at the SL5B I really again admired her strength and purpose here, what she sets out to do she does, and there is no stopping that determination, its exactly what this celebration is and should be, a showing of what people have achieved in their time here, and what it is that makes being a resident of Phils Place so memorable.

Thank you Callie for showing me that, I hope to embrace it and keep it and go on to do and be a part of incredible things.

I hope that you all go and see this exhibit and I hope that you take from it what I have , the want to go through all your things you have made , gathered and been given in your time here , and sort through your pictures and notecards and maybe come up with your own Dreams Exhibit , if for nothing or no one but yourself ♥ You deserve it !.

Trey Dope is the New sim that is opening its doors today at 9pm SLT, and holding a hunt that will consist of 18 little pills scattered across the sim.

It is the merging of 3 talented Japanese designers into one lovely space I had the pleasure of visiting yesterday.

DP Serendipity, Lotta and The Closet are the three stores occupying this space and you are going to really enjoy what they design, and the atmosphere they have created for their new Main stores.

DP Serendipity is going to have NEW items at the Opening and they are just GORGEOUS!.

Getting your Boho 70's Chic on is no task with the incredible Aby dress.

This style is just beautiful and the textures in both the Brown version and the following Red are a delight.

Masuri the talent behind DP Serendipity confesses to being a 60's and 70's fan of fashion, and it shows through in almost all of her creations.

This dress just slides seductively down the length of your body, and in true 70's style, it can move from all social circles to all social events.

Wearing the beautiful Ratan Jewelry from ::69::, the necklace bangles and earrings were just perfect for this dress, and of course you can guess what shoes are on underneath, yes thats right, the Tassel Wedges from J's in the beige. I hadn't planned on wearing them again so soon, and I am totally glad I got the Pipy shorter style Hair from Mirai as well the other day, I must have totally felt the flower power about to happen, and totally prepared and in love with the idea.
For the Red Aby the Dafy Hair in black from Mirai was perfect, as well as the Red Tassel Wedges from J's.

Feeling like I spent the summer in Mexico, this gorgeous Turquoise Rosary necklace , also from ::69:: is just the perfect reminder of a blissful holiday.

I hope and I pray on my rosary that Masuri brings out the Aby in more colours, because this dress is one I can see many wanting to wear as often as possible.
Dancing, Strolling just looking stunning on a verandah somewhere , its all possible in this dress; and so much more.

The other NEW release from DP Serendipity is the Sassy Dress. A playful print with stylish maxi mini swing.

Not only is the skirt of this a trip waiting to happen - psychadelic baby, but the neck piece and the beautiful finish to the sleeves just makes this dress a Must Have .

HAIR FAIR 2008 APPLICATION TIME RUNNING OUT

Hair Fair 2008 is fast approaching, and with as many designers out there creating hair, we know that some may not have received an invitation yet, or may not be aware such an annual event exists .

It is up to you hair lovers as well to make sure that your favourite secret hair designer, doesn't miss out on this wonderful opportunity for hopefully GRID WIDE Exposure.

If you are a hair creator or know of some, especially some were english isn't their first language, then please do your best to make sure they know about Hair Fair 2008.

Following is the actual Application; so if you haven't received one yet then copy and paste this to a notecard and follow the steps needed to be part of this amazing event. Numbers will be limited.

Also this is a Charity Event and a percentage of sales of hair as well as the full money raised on other Fundraising activities will all be sent to Locks of Love, a Charity that makes wigs for Children who suffer Hair loss from illness, this is a must be part of must attend event, and we hope to make every part of it a delight for everyone in some way, even if you arent all hair crazy like most of us :o).

---------------- What is Hair Fair?-----------------

It is a Hair Expo organized by a committee of designers, giving you the opportunity to view many different stores old and new all in one place. This is a great opportunity for any hair designer to show off their work to a large audience of hair fanatics.

You also get to meet and work with others who have the same passion as you do, while working for a good cause. Last year we decided to have part of our profits go to the Locks Of Love Charity. We will be doing that again this year with a few minor changes.

Not only do we showcase hair, we also have a ton of events lined up. Name the Designer & Bandana Day just to name a couple. You will also have the opportunity to get to work with other amazing hair designers on a group wig that will be auctioned off.

If you would like to participate please read the requirements and restrictions before agreeing to sign up.

----------Requirements & Restrictions-----------

* 3-5 NEW Releases - You must be able to showcase at least 3 but no more than 5 never-before-seen hairstyles for the event. We are asking that these releases be unveiled at the expo and not placed in your stores until after the fair is over.

*No vendors, No Scripts , No Textures with a higher resolution of 512x512 , no hovering text, no rotating boxes , nothing that chats or spams passerbys.

*Be willing to donate at least 50% proceeds of at least *ONE* of your hairstyles to the charity. You must provide this wig in ALL color options as any other wig you sell. Each color, color pack, and fat packs of this wig must have 50% of it's proceeds towards the charity. We have a charity liason that will be handling all aspects of this part of the event and you will be hearing from them in future updates.

*Have room for the Hair Fair 2008 group that you will be invited to should you decide to particpate. We ask that you join and remain in the group until after the fair as it will help us to get notices to you about the event, as well as be a list to keep track of participants.

*Must be able to pay an enrollment fee. This is a one time fee that is 100% given to the charity. In order for us to organize the large amount of designers and to ensure you are commited to participating, this is a must! You will be given notice of when to pay and who to pay this fee to. There are a few different amounts which lets u choose the size of ur display area. These are preset amounts and are not negotiable.

Fees as follows:
Standard Display - L$ 1000
Upgraded Display - L$ 2500
Large Display - L$ 5000

PLEASE NOTE: Prims counts for each display-size will be given at a later time. Also be aware that the upgraded & large displays will be limited. These are first come first serve and we cannot guarantee you will be given an upgraded space. You will be able to set up your style displays as you normally do. We will be allowing one goodie box for landmarks, freebies, or any other information on your store. However if you want to personalize your space, you might want to consider a meduim to large space.

We are holding a fundraiser event, Sunday June 1st, from 12pm SLT until 2pm SLT for the cyclone victims of Myanmar and the Earthquake survivors of China. All items for sale have been kindly donated for the fundraiser and ALL proceeds will go to the Red Cross divisions in Myanmar and China. Donated items include everything from shoes to clothes to jewelry!
If you wish to just donate we will have a donation kiosk setup at the teleport site as well. Please join us for a great cause to give these people a chance at survival during these very difficult times. Every Linden helps! :)
