So Mad I could Spit

I came into world moments after posting and sent a message to Kyoko to let her know I posted on her hair, it seems in the 48 hours since I went shopping some jerk told her that her hair was a 'cheap product' and she is so upset that she has closed all her stores and I cant convince her to re-open them. Now my concern is that this girl will feel so bad and stop making hair, and that will be a great loss, yes her textures arent magnficent like some of the bigger stores, but her vision is wonderful and I love her styles as you saw.

One person is all it took to destroy her stores, I am so bummed now, but wanted to make sure you didnt all TP over to an empty place and if you speak Japanese please contact Kyoko Forcella and try and convince her to reopen :(

Grrr... I wish I spoke or even wrote Japanese. I would ask to review her. If anyone wants to help with the communication on that, let me know.

This makes me furious! We don't all launch our creating careers with the skills of a major player. It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of trial and error to create for SL. What a horrible shame that one person can destroy her confidence like this. I'd be VERY curious to see what the jerk could create.

Trixie, you are so right!

that's just RUDE... I had someone in my store, while I was there say how much my shoes sucked. I was devastated. We're with you, hon! Don't let one rude person who prolly doesn't even create anything in world get you down

Wow, what is it with all the craziness and hostility going on in the content creation community recently??? Yowza... are people really starting to get this territorial??? I can't believe it.

:( yeah , but I dont think it was territorial or anything like that, It was only one person saying to someone else something that hurt her enough to make her pack up, I think that culturaly it is taken a lot harder to as they were both Japanese- I asked- and depending on what role the person being the jerk had in her world it can do that damage.

anyway Im glad everyone is so passionate about being good to new creators :o), carefully takes the knife off Triangle and hands her some fabric and a needle and thread instead :P go make something pretty <3

what a shame :( what right has anyone to destroy someones dream surely that is what sl is for- my respect goes to all designers who work hard no matter what the quality if they are creating theyre going to get better anyway thats what its all about - these people are putting their heart and soul into their creations thats why it hurts when someone says something like that - In the current sl of resellers, BIOBs and texture thiefs - designers need all the support they can get, specially the new ones.

Well, not to be a bitch but there are always going to be people who don't like your stuff and if you're going to make it (in SL or RL), you'll have to deal with negativity.

Sure that person was an asshole, but it's stupid to close your store over one negative comment.

Yeah I agree...there will always be criticism. But there is a difference between like...constructive criticism and just plain hatefulness.

...and I see so much in blogs etc which I can only describe as plain hatefulness...

...ppl need to realize that ppl create...and they put a lot of themselves into it...and folks not everyone creates to be 'adored' or 'reviewed' or 'liked by everyone'...some ppl create b/c they enjoy it...and it's a very personal thing no matter if you're totally new or the best of the best...

...it takes a lot of guts to create something and put it out there...

...so I say shame on each and every person who just trashes someone because they can...and/or revels in finding 'flaws'...just whatever people...find something constructive to do with your time

Amen Kit,
anyone who has the guts to put it out there every day with their own content has my vote no matter what it is, no one deserves criticism that isnt just advice or suggestions, straight out abuse is just that 'abuse'

I IM'd her, and then I contacted Haruka who also contacted her. She says she will slowly put the hair back out but when I logged off SL for some RL this morning they still weren't out in the stores. I am desperately waiting to see them, cause I liked what I saw on the blog and wanna get me some.

NOTE TO THE JERK: STFU! WTF?!?! What do you make that is so much better that you think you can knock someone down? This is griefing in its own way. KARMA BABY KARMA. and lastly %#^%(&^%##$^%*!!!!!!

When I first started doing this stuff not many people commented - but those that did were kind and most critiques were geniune, but that didn't mean I wasn't hurt. I was but I learned and grew from it. I think the harshest statement I had heard was that my store was a "dump" - I redesigned the store after that. Maybe all this girl needs are some peeps telling her that her stuff isn't cheap and that what she has done is well worth the effort and that people appreciate it. I would have confronted the person and asked what exactly was cheap about it? I'm sure that the nasty barb was more out of jealousy than a true opinion. I hope she reopens her store. I really do. I would hate to see anyone close because of a rude moron. I really think that people in SL need to remember there is a REAL live person on the other side of that avi and that words can hurt.

Heard from Kyoko last night and she's been overwhelmed by the support she has received. She said she will be reopening her shops again and even made 3 new hairstyles yesterday. So hoorah for the good guys - and a huge thanks to Sasy for letting us know about this.
