Instead of the generic box icon, I would LOVE it if we could select the icon that best described the item. Clothing layers and body parts have their own icons, why not prim stuff? :D

Of course, we couldn't have an icon for every single item out there but some general categories would be a great start. Maybe have icons for hair, accessories, shoes, clothing, house, furniture, transportation and then the generic one for the rest. Then, if those icons could be filtered in inventory, it would be absolute heaven.

It would totally help in cases where items have names like "super fancy foofoo". What is it? A skirt? A chair? A fancy bird? A car? I don't remember! BUT! if "super fancy foofoo" had a little hair icon next to it? Then I would know right away... it's hair! Yay!

I have no idea if that would even be possible but I think it would be a really nice feature to have.Betty Barracudahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07212457975484435476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-60369566903793138762008-02-18T21:07:00.000+00:002008-02-18T21:07:00.000+00:00Raises HandYes I own oil (Looks great with a bathi...Raises Hand
Yes I own oil (Looks great with a bathing suit if you want to look wet at a pool)

Yes I Own excite parts

and yes I own a mud wrestling ring lol

theres plenty more silly junk in my inventory lol

and yes I forgot my blogger password lol

PopFuzzAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-84639224929888378812008-02-18T20:47:00.000+00:002008-02-18T20:47:00.000+00:00Bex I love your wishes, and the pics yes are much ...Bex I love your wishes, and the pics yes are much easier to delete than guess what a folder has etc, no mod belts is like no mod hair eeeek and right up there with no mod uppers on boots make the lower part no mod and the upper if seperate mod, I hate my scrwny legs of my boot shape lol

xoxox Sasy xoxoSasy Scarboroughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08720132011114774530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-77397284017001860342008-02-18T20:03:00.000+00:002008-02-18T20:03:00.000+00:00I wish we could see our inventory online,in our ac...I wish we could see our inventory online,in our account. It would show us the pictures of what we have,(like the pics in onrez) and the ability to delete, or organize from there. Doing it in world, takes FOREVER...this way, you see it, click delete, or add to a folder in one, two, three...and not have to open it and try everything on.

OK, now these come from a shoppers point of view :

I wish designers would include a picture of items and landmarks,in the folders. I heard one say she didn't because people complained about clogging up their inventory. It's alot easier to delete a picture and LM, then to have to put on the outfit, take a pic, name it, put it in folder, look up creators name, find a name of store in picks, tp then make a lm and add to folder.....sometimes, I dont bother with the going back part.

I wish people would stop making belts no mod....it makes no sense!

If a clothing item costs more than say 500L....it should have a demo.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-5178973382326530592008-02-18T19:44:00.000+00:002008-02-18T19:44:00.000+00:00eeeek runs crying over the thought of no mod hair,...eeeek runs crying over the thought of no mod hair, not really sure anyone that does that actualy :o( scary scary.

Names lol yes, I have had convos with New Residents on that and even gone as far as one being told by another in open chat they need to go change it, I told them in IM if it means something to them, dont, but if they arent attached to it that SL is an incredible place and in a few months they may start creating and their name may hinder that.

One thing I do in my head every time i see a name with numbers in the start though is say 'oh no, no lucky chairs for them' lol its the first thing I think of every single time lol

xoxoSasy xoxSasy Scarboroughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08720132011114774530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-61948086110075850302008-02-18T18:22:00.000+00:002008-02-18T18:22:00.000+00:00My Wish list includes the following:LL should be m...My Wish list includes the following:
LL should be more clear on signup about the Avatar naming process. As a manager of a club, I simply can't hire someone named "bubble3456 Goober" and make a poster with their name on it. Although LL recently added a 'stop - are you sure you want an uncapitalized name?" Yes/No button, the numbers thing kills me. People need to understand clearly that your name is with you for the duration of your SL and once you establish one AV, it is hard to chuck one later and start all over without losing a whack of no trans stuff. Especially is they need to be a certain age to be hired in a club. People need to understand it is not like making an e-mail address.

Also, if you choose not to register payment info with LL that is your g-d diven right, but do not expect me to hire you when you do not have it and the rules for a reputable club on a mature SIM state that it is necessary. It is too easy for minors to access the adult grid, I sure don't need to hire them.

Also, I can't deal with Hait that comed S,M,L sizes in a folder that is no Mod, but copy and no trans. Who decided what S,M,L is and when they don't fit my head I sure as heck am not going to adjust my head to fit one of the above. Hair is no trans, I understand why, but for gosh sakes, make it MOD.Ketsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12972011898505430495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-56922827688803026552008-02-18T17:46:00.000+00:002008-02-18T17:46:00.000+00:00hugs Sai, yes its really icky, and I am sorry it n...hugs Sai, yes its really icky, and I am sorry it now means you don't greet customers and hang out in your store, its again another outcome that isnt thought through :o(.

Maegen I checked in windlight and i still cant add to unless folder is open, BUT if i have had folder open and then close it i can lol, I added one to the bottom too before I went to sleep for 3.5 hours lol

xoxox Sasy xoxoSasy Scarboroughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08720132011114774530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-82576426640192177032008-02-18T16:13:00.000+00:002008-02-18T16:13:00.000+00:00OMG, the open chat when the shop owner is there......OMG, the open chat when the shop owner is there...

I used to sit in my shop greeting customers when they tp in, but I don't think most of them knew I was the owner. So, some tp'ed in their friends, and proceeded to say bad comments about my poses as they tried them out. This happened on several occasions, and I stopped hanging out there because I hated hearing people criticize my stuffs.

So! I totally agree with all of these, especially that one. Some people just don't know how hurtful they can be, and not even realize it.Sai Pennellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06040621463963471230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-43208778618575065792008-02-18T12:33:00.000+00:002008-02-18T12:33:00.000+00:00lol it made perfect sense. I can even Remove from a folder that isn't open - or even from the folder above it (for example, I have my clothes sorted into folders inside of categories, like casual, formal gowns, party dresses, etc. and say I put on a casual outfit, and then I put on a formal gown but there are still too many pieces of the casual one on and I don't want to have to click each one individually to take off.. I can right-click Casual and take off and it knows to go into the folder that outfit's from and take it off.)

Yeah, the customer should have the info, for sure. It would be neat if business partners could be added to transaction history. They don't necessarily have to see your L$ balance but it'd be nice for you to be able to add someone as a business partner and allow them to see your transaction history. This could have the effect of, of course, allowing employees to do better customer service, but also would allow a customer to share their own transaction history with you with a click if they were just completely lost as to how to use the website themselves. Does that make any sense? -_-; I really need to get more sleep.Maegen Parvenuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13429723437565326411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-63496760871559149902008-02-18T12:07:00.000+00:002008-02-18T12:07:00.000+00:00Oh P.S lol Im not the one with access to the trans...Oh P.S lol Im not the one with access to the transactions, but tools I do use are easier when I have their info from their trans history , thought I better explain the usefulness of it to me too, thanks again Maegen :o)

xoxo Sasy xoxoSasy Scarboroughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08720132011114774530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-6505451031104013092008-02-18T12:05:00.000+00:002008-02-18T12:05:00.000+00:00lol I would be worried if I didnt know how to do t...lol I would be worried if I didnt know how to do that, but you have to actualy have folder open to add to.. thanks though :O) my inventory gets the folders and no arrows alot of the time if not using OnRez viewer, and its a wish coz it would just be simpler, plus fun to see my avatar fill with crazy when more than one colour of same item in folder.

Trans history yes I know when you download the info you get all of it, but that part was to explain to others more so why its not an instant I know what you bought kind of thing :o) but again thats more of a my work in sl kind of scenario.

it is always good for the customer to gather that info 'for' themselves also though, its reassuring to them that they have it I have experienced, just like a RL receipt...and I have had more than a few 'Ooops my bad it didnt actualy pay you' rather than them being insistant when you say you cant see it .

Im glad you enjoyed them and the item your hubby made sounds great, would be wonderful if you could let me know of the progress of it, as there are so many designers in need of something simple and inexpensive.

xoxox Sasy xoxoSasy Scarboroughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08720132011114774530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9190671316144970015.post-74130892267469666292008-02-18T11:47:00.000+00:002008-02-18T11:47:00.000+00:00Hey, Sasy! I just dropped by to let you know, you...Hey, Sasy! I just dropped by to let you know, you can actually right-click a folder in your inventory and do "add to outfit" and it will add an outfit to your existing stuff without taking off what you're already wearing. It's one click more than a drag, but it saves you the time and grief of putting everything back on!

I definitely miss the in-world transaction history. I don't know if it helps, but you can download a file in two different types from the website that keeps your information going back more than 500 transactions (still no longer than 30 days, though.) My husband kindly coded me up slmatrix.com to keep track of my transaction history and does some charts and stuff too. I know he plans on adding some more features and opening it to the public, so maybe that'll be helpful to people who want more than just "Someone bought something yesterday".

I think you pretty much covered my SL wishlist. Amen to the mocking stuff out loud. I wish people in SL in general would be more sensitive. I keep meeting people and they say things to me which, maybe, tilting your head and squinting at noon during a solar eclipse it could've been recognisable as constructive criticism, but it really just comes off as hurtful, and it puts me off creating every now and then.Maegen Parvenuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13429723437565326411noreply@blogger.com
